ARC Method
The ARC Method is a 6-step process that brings awareness and curiosity to your self-talk. For some, this comes easily, while for others it can be more challenging.
✨ Tip: Think about moments where you remember feeling judged or criticised. It could be not getting through your to-do list, saying yes to a project you didn’t want, or missing out on an opportunity. Notice how you feel—frustrated, sad, or deflated—but more importantly, tune into how you speak to yourself in those moments:
"Just get on with it!" or "This always happens to you."
This is your jumping-off point to understanding how you get in your own way.
Don't Rush Step 3: > What’s Your Inner Critic Saying?
Here you’re looking into what’s the underlying message? What standards do you feel you're not meeting? What’s the recurring theme in this criticism or judgment?
✨ Tip: Don’t rush this step—it's crucial. These stories and criticisms often act as the "proof" that reinforces your resistance to change. Understanding them is the key to breaking that cycle and moving forward.
